Online Travel Technology Specialist – Virtual

Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
• Develop and maintain knowledge and application of travel industry online and related technology products.
• Provide user technical and navigational support for online technology systems for booking travel reservations.
• Conduct research and facilitate problem resolution for service issues across online technology systems.
• Online system administration to include maintenance of existing business Travel Management Company (TMC) client accounts and set up of new accounts.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of travel industry vendor practices, programs and operations.
• Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all online technology products.
• Partner with cross functional teams as point of contact Online Technology Specialist for various projects and day to day support as needed.
• Participate in vendor led trainings and project meetings, acting as a Lead representative of the Online Travel Technology Team.
• Identify online automation requirements, develop solutions and assist with implementation of requirements in coordination with travel industry Technology Automation Systems.
• Ability to relate to internal/external clients and vendors at various levels within their organizations using diplomacy and tact.
• Engage in standard online technology duties and tasks.
• Conduct and participate in ongoing testing of more efficient ways to use the online systems in conjunction with Technology Automation Systems.
• Coordinate with management on staffing and training for support desk and special projects related to online systems.
• Consistent communications with our online system vendor contacts to prioritize issue/requests and monitor their progress.
• Develop and conduct regularly scheduled WebEx meetings about our online technology products.
• Develop knowledge of and practice security requirements.

• 2+ years direct experience leading Concur implementations required.
• Preference will be given to candidates with Global Distribution System (GDS) proficiency, Apollo preferred.

Travel Technology Developer

• Develop industry differentiating innovative, cost-effective, quality routines using the Compleat MidOffice system to maximize efficiency and service for our frontline associates and customers. Develop plugins and custom scripts for Travelport Smartpoint
• Conduct research and facilitate problem resolution for service issues related to the mid-office and Smartpoint
• Document Standard Operating Procedures for all automation routines
• Participate in Process Improvement Team as directed by the Manager and/or Director, Travel Technology

SENIOR DATA BASE  ENGINEER


This position’s primary objective is to move the strategic data projects for the department forward, while also effectively managing and supporting the demands/needs of today’s production environments.  Working closely with the application development and reporting teams will insure optimal performance on all platforms. In addition, this person will serve as one of the subject matter experts in the areas of database design, database architecture, query tuning and SQL development. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with database technology, data processing and enterprise data architectures.  You understand obstacles and hurdles, and choose to view them as opportunities not frustrations.  You have strong attention to detail, follow-through and prefer to get it right the first time.  Since listening and digging deeper are two of your key strengths, you will easily discern requirements from design sessions, and your need to write it down will ensure you get it properly documented. 

Summary of essential job functions
•             Database Administration – ensure existing infrastructure is not only maintained, but routinely optimized.
o             Operational maintenance and performance tuning of existing database environments.
o             Will be involved in SQL Server upgrades from 2008R2 to 2014/16.
o             Maintain SQL Server best practices in design, development, security and administration.
•             Database Design and Development – responsible for timely and accurate completion of client projects and internal database development/infrastructure projects in line with business objectives.

 Database Administrator/ Engineer

Responsible for the administration, performance, integrity and security of company’s database systems.  They will also be involved in the design and development of new databases and database architectures as well as database operational support and troubleshooting on behalf of the users.  This person will serve as a subject matter expert in the areas of database administration, design, database architecture, performance tuning and SQL development.
