he individual will be responsible for allocating/managing our group cruise inventory with our suppliers. NO GDS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.  We have many agents that are booking groups with RCCL, Princess, NCL, CCL, etc, and there are many pieces of the puzzle to ensure that affinity groups are booked and managed properly, as well as ensuring that the agents are talking advantage of the amenities that occur when they book cruises using our group space.  This person will be in direct contact with agents and venders to ensure the growth and success of our growing group cruise market.  Experience with groups is a must.  Mon-Friday 9-5pm 45k.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Plan and sell travel accommodations, insurance and other travel services.
* Cooperate with clients to determine their needs and advise them of appropriate destination, mode of transportations, travel dates, costs and accommodations.
* Book transportation, make hotel reservations and collect payment/fees.
* Enter data into our software and maintain client files.
* Network with tour operators.
* Meet profit and sales targets.
* Work well with other agents and staff to provide the best customer service to our clients.
* Attend monthly staff meetings.
* Attend travel seminars to remain updated with tourism trends.
* Ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively.
* Experience on Sabre - VERY IMPORTANT
* Well Organized

* Prefer to have someone well traveled
* Competent computer experience

Corporate Travel Agent – NYC Manhattan

This is an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Travel Agent who is looking for their next challenge.  Apollo preferred, but will do a conversion for the right person.  Arrange all elements of business travel from initial request to completion for clients including air, hotel, car rentals, train, tour and ground arrangements at the lowest possible price within corporate travel guidelines.  Office is located in Manhattan and the pay and benefits are excellent.  Strong knowledge of international travel and rate desk pricing preferred. 
Provide excellent customer service that exceeds clients’ expectations
Develop relationships with clients to improve the overall service level
Maintain ownership of each record until trip has been completed to ensure all details (including but not limited to seat assignments, meal preference, upgrades etc.) are completed to the client’s satisfaction in line with company procedures including ticketing and exchanges
Follow company procedures with regards to customer service, documentation of PNRs and profiles, ticketing, invoicing, attendance, accuracy of work etc.
Researches and provides solution to any travel related problem clients may have experienced with arrangements made with total management awareness and participation
Stays fully informed on all airline rules and regulations, tariffs and fare requirements and accurately applies this knowledge to all travel arrangements
Work closely with team to ensure worldwide coverage for clients
Participate in operational projects, training and functions as appointed by the manager
GDS proficient and maintains GDS skills with relevant training
Stays abreast of technology and industry knowledge
Must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with high level global clientele
Problem resolving to always include management
Performs other office functions as needed and seeks ways to personally add to the overall efficiency of the operation
Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality is required
Skills required
At least 5 years of experience as a corporate travel agent booking all aspects of corporate travel, including but not limited to, flights, hotels, car hire, chauffeur drive & rail
Excellent recent GDS skills (Apollo preferred however conversion training can be provided) – this includes but is not limited to creating and sending itineraries, executing upgrades and seat assignments, ticketing, exchanges, refunds, queue sorting, MCOs, manual fare builds
Proficient with international itineraries and rate structures
Exceptional customer service with excellent attention to detail, to include proactive travel advice and demonstrate cost savings to our clients
The ability to identify and create additional revenue opportunities and/or value added services relevant to the client’s requirements
A strong, methodical and accurate work ethic to service all bookings from initial inquiry through to invoice and ticketing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Interpersonal communication and relationship building skills
Good problem solving skills and initiative
Willingness to learn new systems, adapt to new processes and to develop existing skills
Flexibility & patience
Expert proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word
Ability to function in a fast-paced, demanding environment
This role requires 2 weeks training in the UK
